About Corona California

Corona CA is located at the upper end of the Santa Ana River Canyon and was founded in 1896 during the height of the citrus boom in Southern California. The city’s name is derived (and its nickname, The Circle City) from the layout of its streets, with a standard grid enclosed by the circular Grand Boulevard where three international road racing events took place in 1913, 1914 and 1916.
